$175 burger in New York. Selling 20 a day…

What you get: A huge, well marbled, minced (ground) Kobe beef patty stuffed with red wine braised short ribs, black truffles, seared foie gras (as you can see on top of the burger there), aged Gruyere cheese, wild mushrooms and flecks of gold leaf on a brioche bun. Eating this burger should qualify as a ‘pre-existing condition’ in health insurance policies.
Apparantly without truffles it would cost $32. A regular burger downstairs at the Wall Street Burger Shoppe costs $4 and they sell about 20 of the $175 burgers a day. Some are returning customers. Others share the burger so they can get a taste. Apparantly it’s very good?! I smell a publicity stunt…?
The burger comes with golden truffle mayonnaise, Belgian-style fries, mixed greens and tomato salad.
